The Inquiry-Based Learning School
The Inquiry-Based Learning School serves students, PK through graduation, who are Ohio residents. Our students are not selected based on academic ability. To be accepted, they must have been promoted to enrolling grade, and must currently be drug-free. Most important, students must have a willingness to engage in inquiry, critical thinking, effective communication and collaboration. IBL students must be driven to actively participate in and drive their educational experience.
Our application process requires each student as well as a parent or child advocate to submit a completed application. The student and parent/advocate will interview with the Executive Director to discuss mutual expectations and any aspect of our curriculum and policies. Our staff will directly handle all registrations. The Inquiry-Based Learning School is committed to a school enrollment that is diverse and representative of regional demographics.

No student will be admitted with a current suspension or expulsion from another area school but we can provide recommendations for other great school programs at your request.
-
The application MUST be completed in its entirety in order for a student to be considered for admission.
-
The information on the application will not be used to determine acceptance, rather, it is used to process necessary enrollment paperwork and to help us learn about the applicant prior to the individual start date.
-
Incomplete applications will not be considered. An email notification will be sent to you upon receipt of your application. This notification will indicate if your application is complete.
-
The completeness of an application is determined on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Executive Director.
Each student will have their own individual start date and a home visit, as the IBL school is a year-round school with rolling admission who welcome students like family into our community.
